Tea from olive leaf powder is still little known, although the beneficial properties of the olive itself and the oil is known to most people. Since the 1960s, tea from olive leaves has been scientifically researched, and there are now many positive testimonials about the effect of the ingredients of the olive leaf.
The active ingredient in the leaves of the olive tree is called iridoids, one of which is oleuropein and is the substance that makes the leaves bitter, because with it the olive tree protects itself from damage by insects and bacteria. It thus strengthens the resistance of the tree. Oleuropein is particularly concentrated in olive leaves.
The leaves are cut by hand, hung to dry in a shady, airy place, where they remain for 4 to 8 weeks.
The tea has a pleasant mild, aromatic, slightly bitter, 'green' taste. The brewed tea has a golden yellow color and an almost imperceptible sweetness.

Preparation of tea from ground olive leaves:
Tea: to prepare a cup, pour boiling water over 1 teaspoon of olive leaf powder. Cover and steep for 5-10 minutes and strain. Olive leaf tea is also suitable as an iced tea, mix it with mineral water, lemon juice or fruit juices.
With 1 liter of water: as soon as it begins to boil, add 2 teaspoons of olive leaf powder and boil it for 1 minute until bubbling, then strain. Drink 3-4 cups per day
The finished tea can be stored in the refrigerator for several days, preferably in the Flaska. Do not boil or store in aluminum pots or pots containing tin.  Sweeten with erythritol or even better probiotic with yacon syrup....

Cold brew for people who prefer raw foods: steep 20 to 40 g of crushed olive leaves overnight in 1 liter of cold water. In the morning, heat briefly and strain. Drink in the morning.

In Peru and Portugal, people believe that olive leaf tea has a general restorative effect and produces a greater sense of well-being, both physically and emotionally.
Because of the abundant chlorophyll, the tea can be drunk preventively. Olive leaves are a "true anti-viral compound" as it blocks the virus-specific system in the infected cell. It improves the cellular protective function of the organism. In addition, the substance has a power that promotes recovery.

This pack contains only olive tree leaves, nothing else. The leaves are from trees grown without chemicals and were harvested manually with care, then dried in the shade for a few weeks before being packed.
