Chanca Piedra, Phyllanthus niruri

Wild collection from Paraguay, thousand herb, in Ayurveda the plant is called bhumyamalaki.
This little herb from South America has it all. Chanca piedra ( Phyllanthus niruri ) from the Euphobiaceae family means breaker (chanca) of stones (piedra) and is suitable for cleaning and toxin-removal of the bile, kidneys and bladder.

Chanca piedra grows as a small annual herb in the tropics, particularly in the Amazon rainforest, and grows up to half a meter tall. Since time immemorial, the locals have used Chanca Piedra for kidney-urinary tract and liver-gallbladder problems.

This is Phyllanthus niruri - a natural helper in the care of our kidneys.

The kidney is our most important detoxification organ, regulates our acid-base balance, metabolizes the minerals in the body and is involved in our blood formation. No wonder that she deserves our attention. Especially if the care is easy to do with a tea that tastes pleasantly neutral and you can drink it every day.

What few people know is that our kidneys are instrumental in converting the precursor to vitamin D in the body into actually active vitamin D3, which is responsible for healthy bones, along with the minerals calcium, magnesium, potassium, and silicon Boron.

The small stone crusher is also used in Ayurvedic therapies and is called Bhumyamalaki there.

Preparation

Take 1-2 tablespoons of chopped Chanca Piedra herb per liter of water, pour over the boiling tea and let it simmer gently for 5 minutes. Strain and drink the first cup hot in the morning, the rest cold during the day.

The finished tea can be kept in the refrigerator for several days, preferably in the Flaska. Do not cook or store in aluminum pots or pots containing tin. Sweeten with ORGANIC erythritol or, even better, refine with probiotic Yacon syrup.
