Tapioca Certified Organic Starch Flour 1kg
Tapioca Certified Organic Starch Flour, CassavaOrganic tapioca, also called Cassava, Polvilho doce or Goma, Manihot esculenta, from the fleshy root tubers of the organic manioc shrub.
The roots are grated and pressed, a white, milky liquid flows out which is filled in wide vessels and left to dry. After a while, the starch settles down.
The jars are placed in the sun until the starch is dried out.
Originally, manioc starch was the staple food of the Indian population, and today tapioca starch is used worldwide in top level cuisine to bind desserts and liquids because it is gluten-free and purely vegetable.
Healthy Long-Chain CarbohydratesSince our Organic Tapioka/Cassava consists almost entirely of long-chain carbohydrates, it is well suited as a sports food and as a weight-reducing diet.
Attention:Cassava is from the family of the Euphorbiaceae, the spurge family, which means that it should never be eaten raw!
After thorough heating (frying, baking, cooking) tapioca flour is extremely digestible.
Cassava shrubs grow up to 5 m high. The fruit grows in capsules that burst loudly like a firecracker when they are ripe. As a result, the seeds are thrown far away from the mother plant and can develop freely there. The root ends are thick, long tubers. Cassava tubers grow up to 50 cm long and weigh 5 kg.
Again: Cassava, including the tapioca flour, contains toxic hydrocyanic acid, which evaporates only after thorough heating, so it must not be eaten raw!
