The vitamins C and E, which are abundant in blueberries, make them a beauty food.
The contained vitamin E is THE beauty vitamin. Both vitamins are known antioxidants and scavenge free radicals. This is how they strengthen the immune system.
In addition, our freeze-dried blueberries contain large amounts of vitamins A, B1, B2 and beta-carotene. It has an antibacterial effect and inhibits the attachment of bacteria to our cells.

They taste delicious in Greek yoghurt, with muesli, in smoothies or as ice cream.
You can also prepare a tea that is beneficial for the intestines, pour five grams (1 teaspoon) with a cup of cold water, heat the whole thing carefully (do not boil!) and let it simmer gently for ten minutes, a tea that you can use to treat diarrhea can alleviate.

Due to their tanning agents and coloring agents, our dried wild blueberries inhibit bacterial growth, especially if they are taken without sugar.
But a beneficial effect on the blood vessels is also under discussion. For this reason, drugs have been developed that are supposed to remedy these problems with circulatory disorders in the eye, with altered permeability of the blood capillaries with an active ingredient from the blueberries - the anthocyanins.

Aqueous blueberry extracts are also recognized as an anti-inflammatory for mouth and mucous membrane disorders.

Fresh blueberries or extracts enriched with anthocyanins are said to have a positive effect on venous circulatory disorders with a feeling of heaviness in the legs.

The latest studies show a slight reduction in systolic blood pressure values in the case of slightly elevated blood pressure.

In folk medicine, blueberries are used internally for vomiting and bleeding, but also for the treatment of hemorrhoids. It is claimed that drinking 2 cups of blueberry tea daily for 3 – 4 weeks will reduce the inflammation of the hemorrhoids.

Intake:

Raw: 2 tbsp/day

Tea: Put 2 tbsp in 1/2 liter of cold water, boil for 10 minutes and the blueberry tea is ready. Sweeten unsweetened or with Yacon thick juice or organic erythritol.

The treatment of inflammatory skin diseases with poultices made from blueberry tea is also common in folk medicine.

The leaves of the blueberry are also widely used in folk medicine; From coughs to stomach and bladder diseases to the treatment of diabetes (diabetes mellitus), dried blueberry leaves are used. What causes the drop in blood sugar levels is controversial; an involvement of the high chromium value in the leaves is discussed. Because of the side effects that occur, therapy with blueberry leaves is not medically justifiable and should therefore be rejected.

The daily dose of blueberries is 20 – 60 g.
