Description of the Ambay tree
Ambay (Cecropia adenopus) is a deciduous tree of the botanical family Cecropiaceas. It grows in tropical and subtropical areas in northeastern Argentina, Paraguay and Brazil, and the Amazon region of Bolivia. It can grow up to 15 m tall and its trunk is between 2 and 3 m in diameter with a tall parasol-shaped crown. It produces flowers and fruits throughout the year. Ambay is also used as an decorative plant and edible fruits.

It is known for its relieving and soothing effect on the throat, nose, ears, bronchial tubes and whatever else belongs to the respiratory system.

Ambay tea preparation
Boil 3 tablespoons of leaves and bark in a liter of water for at least 5 minutes, drink three to five cups of it a day, first on an empty stomach, the following before meals.

The finished tea can be stored in the refrigerator for several days, preferably in the Flaska. Do not cook or store in aluminum pots or pots containing tin.  Sweeten with erythritol or even better probiotic with yacon syrup.
